It was very heartwarming for MID-TAC when individuals and Clubs dug into their pockets and coffers to support the "30 Day Drive to Retire the Website Debt". The new administration inherited a long outstanding web designer invoice that needed to be resolved. In an effort to keep quality communication going in our Section, the Executive Board made several attempts to accumulate funds for that purpose. We want to thank all of the individuals listed below but we want to especially thank one individual who really stepped up to the plate.

He is Dr. Albert Gruber of Artistic Dental Center at 15445 South Park Avenue in South Holland, Illinois. Dr. Gruber contacted MID-TAC by phone when he heard about the drive and was very concerned about the problem. He said that "Black people have to come together and support our organizations if they are going to exist". He was very adamant about this and stayed in contact with us until we had gone past our Drive Date and offered to CLOSE THE GAP in whatever funds we had collected.

Now that's putting your "money" where your "mouth" is. He did not hesitate or choke when we told him the amount needed. Our hats are off to him and his lovely family. Al is an avid and well developed singles and doubles player. He and his wife Linda (who is a formidable player herself), attended the 54th Annual Tournament with their darling daughters and son. Linda has gone on to work closely with junior players in the Chicago area and I hear they are coming back to MID-TAC with the goal of winning everything. We are looking forward to that happening.

"MID-TAC is On The Move" and with the quality friends and supporters that we have, we plan to be around for a long time to come.
